Woodson Smelser, MD

I am a Urologic Surgical Oncologist and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. I completed a Society of Urologic Oncology accredited fellowship in urologic surgical oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before joining the faculty at Washington University. I see patients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Siteman Cancer Center and BJC West County. My research focuses on translational and clinical trials in bladder and upper tract urothelial cancer. I am a native Missourian raised on a family farm in the Bootheel. Former RAS/ACS Liaison to the Advisory Council for Urology.
