Dr. Teresa Tam is a graduate of the Rosalind Franklin Chicago Medical School, where she received the Dean’s award at her graduation (1994). She undertook her residency in 1994 at St. Joseph hospital, completing the program in 1998. She has been in private practice since then. She has also been affiliated with Presence Saint Joseph Hospital as the Associate Director of their Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program, as well as an on-staff attending physician. She has been an attending on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for the past 12 years. She is Board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a fully licensed physician and surgeon by the State of Illinois. In 2012, Dr. Tam took a sabbatical from her private practice to undertake a fellowship program in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery (MIGS) at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She left Chicago and moved to Hershey, PA for one year. There, she received advance training in laparoscopic surgery and robotically-assisted surgery using the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System. She completed her fellowship in June 2013 and returned to Chicago to start her new solo practice, “All for Women Healthcare, SC“. Along with her medical practice, Dr. Tam is also an accomplished medical researcher having been published in a number of professional medical journals. She is a noted presenter at national and international medical conferences having presented over two dozen oral presentations, abstracts, video, and poster presentations combined. To date, she has written over 13 published research papers and produced a series of medical education videos. She was awarded “Attending of the Year“ and received the “National Faculty Award“, an unprecedented SIX times as an attending physician and Associate Director of the Ob/Gyne residency program at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, and also at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.
