Biography

Dr. Raphael Parrado is a physician in the Division of Acute Care, Trauma and Critical Care Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville. Having completed his fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care Surgery at University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, he has experience in both adult and pediatric trauma. Dr. Parrado is a graduate of the general residency program at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where he distinguished himself as a medical student teacher in addition to his surgical training. He earned his degree in medicine at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, where he is from. Pertinent to his work in trauma at Cincinnati, he additionally holds a specialization in Data Science from John Hopkins and finished a Masters in Clinical and Translational Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Cincinnati.
