Rodrigo Edelmuth, MD FACS

Dr. Edelmuth holds a Gastrointestinal Surgery and General Surgery degree from São Paulo University Medical School (2014-2018) and has a postgraduate Leadership course from Harvard Medical School (2022). In 2021-2022 he joined Weill Cornell Medical College in New York as a Research Fellow. Dr. Edelmuth works at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein —ranked 22nd in the world by Newsweek in 2024 and the first hospital outside the United States to receive accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI), as a Surgeon and Medical Coordinator for the Surgical Department. Dr. Edelmuth is a Fellow at the American College o Surgeons, he is member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT). In 2022 he received the SAGES Career Development Award.
