Jihad Kudsi, MD ABOM MBA MSF FACS

Dr. Jihad Kudsi is a dual board-certified bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon, healthcare leader, and entrepreneur. He serves as Chair of the Departments of General Surgery and Plastic Surgery, Chair of the Compliance Committee, and a member of the Clinical Board of Directors at Duly Health and Care. He is also the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at UChicago AdventHealth LaGrange Hospital, where he developed a comprehensive multidisciplinary bariatric program. Dr. Kudsi completed his General Surgery Internship at Mayo Clinic, followed by Residency at The George Washington University, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and Therapeutic Endoscopy at Houston Methodist Hospital. He specializes in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, including metabolic and bariatric surgery, anti-reflux procedures, hernia repair, and gallbladder disease, with a focus on innovation and comprehensive obesity care. Dr. Kudsi is the Founder and CEO of TeleSlim Clinic, a multi-state telemedicine platform for obesity management. He holds an MBA and Master of Science in Finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and has a strong interest in lean management, strategic growth, and value-based care delivery, particularly in integrating surgical and medical weight loss programs. Dr. Kudsi holds an academic appointment at Midwestern University and is active in the American College of Surgeons, serving as President-Elect of the Metropolitan Chicago Chapter.
