Biography

Professor Vinod K. Panchbhavi MD, FACS, FAOA, FAAOS, FABOS is an orthopedic surgeon who is Board-Certified with American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). He has a special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery and currently works as a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Chief of Division of Foot & Ankle Surgery and Director of Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Texas, USA. He has published over 100 manuscripts, abstracts, editorials in peer-reviewed reputed publications and written extensively in both scientific and lay media. He has organized symposiums and moderated sessions. He is regularly invited to be on faculty at national and international meetings and as Visiting Professor at renowned US Universities. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery and editorial board member on other reputed journals such as the FAI, JBJS, and CORR etc. He has a keen interest in promoting education and served as Chairman of the Post Graduate Training Committee at the national level in the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He served on other committees such as Instructional Course Committee in other organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and as a Governor in Board of Governors of the American College of Surgeons.
