Director, Sandra & Malcolm Berman Comprehensive Breast Care Center, Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Fogarty earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. She completed a general surgery residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where she served as chief resident from 2012-2013. She then completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Women & Infants Hospital, Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island graduating in 2014. She is board certified in General Surgery. Dr. Fogarty specializes in all aspects of breast disease, both benign and malignant. She has a special interest in post-mastectomy pain, using trigger point injection techniques taught during her osteopathic training. Injections are easily performed in the office. She is also interested in fertility preservation in pre-menopausal cancer. She works closely with community organizations such as American Cancer Society, Hopewell, Susan G. Komen, Red Devils, Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, and others to educate the public regarding breast screening, risk factors, and latest advances in breast cancer treatment. Dr. Fogarty is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBS) and the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO). She is currently appointed to the executive council of the Maryland state chapter of the ACS, serving as Cancer Liaison Physician for the state of Maryland.
