Broadly defined, the specialty of General Surgery focuses on diseases of the abdomen (intestines, gallbladder, stomach, hernias, etc.), skin and soft tissue including diseases of the breasts. This includes the preoperative, operative and postoperative management. The field of laparosocopic surgery focuses on diseases of the abdomen mainly covers with the general surgery but with small incisions and faster recovery. The field of Bariatric surgery focuses in obesity surgery.
