Giana Hystad Davidson, MD FACS

Giana Davidson is the section chief for emergency general surgical service at University of Washington Medical Center. Her clinical interests include gastrointestinal surgery for both acute and chronic conditions, gallbladder/biliary disorders, and complex abdominal wall hernia repair using minimally invasive surgical techniques. She is a health services researcher focused on comparative effectiveness clinical trials and patient centered outcomes research. Dr Davidson is the assistant dean in the Office of Faculty Affairs for the UW School of Medicine, the current chief of staff for University of Washington Montlake and Northwest Campuses. She is the President Elect for the WA State ACS Chapter. Dr. Davidson was raised in Montana. Her personal interests include: biking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband and young children.
