Eric Carlson, MD FACS

Dr. Carlson is Professor of Surgery and the Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Affairs at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. He previously served as the Kelly L. Krahwinkel Endowed Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee from 2002 - 2025. He is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, his fellowship in oral/head and neck tumor surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center, and his general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. HIs practice focuses on benign and malignant tumor surgery of the oral/head and neck region.
