Dr. Raut is the Richard E. Wilson Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology at Mass General Brigham (MGB), Sarcoma Surgery Director for the Sarcoma Disease Program at the MGB Cancer Institute, Surgeon-in-Chief and Chair of the Department of Surgery at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Surgery Director of the Center for Sarcoma and Bone Oncology at DFCI. Dr. Raut specializes in the care of soft tissue sarcomas. He has been a principal investigator or co-investigator on several sarcoma clinical trials and has R01 funding for laboratory research aimed at reducing local recurrence after sarcoma surgery. He is a regularly invited speaker to academic national and international meetings. He is the Sarcoma Section Editor for Cancer and for Surgical Oncology Insights. He is Chair of the Soft Tissue Sarcoma Staging Panel for the 9th edition of the AJCC Staging Manual and one of two Chairs of the Surgery Committee in the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology.
