Biography

Dr. Hampton is a board-certified general surgeon with specialization in breast surgery. She is the Chief of Breast Surgery of Luminis Health-DCMC in Lanham, MD, just outside of Washington, DC. Dr. Hampton specializes in: breast conservation, oncoplastic lumpectomy, nipple sparing mastectomy and minimally invasive biopsies. The breast center at Doctors Community Medical Center is the first breast cancer center in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Dr. Hampton was the first female Medical Staff President in the 40 year history of the hospital. She is also the co-Founder of Breast Care for Washington, a nonprofit that provides mammograms regardless of one's ability to pay. This is the first 3D mammography unit east of the Anacostia River in DC in an area with a high breast cancer mortality rate. Dr. Hampton is a certified mastectomy fitter (CMF) and owner of bra boutique, Cherry Blossom Intimates (www.CherryBlossomIntimates.com) in Glenarden, MD, specializing in bras for post surgical patients, prosthesis and regular bras: 28-52 band size, A through N cup sizes. This is unique because it offers custom breast prosthesis in 31 difference skin tones.
