Biography

Gregory D. Kennedy, MD, PhD, MBA, is a colorectal surgeon and surgical leader dedicated to ensuring that high-quality cancer care is accessible to every community. As Chief Medical Officer for the Cancer Service Line at UnityPoint Health, he guides system-wide efforts to integrate oncology services, improve outcomes, and expand care across urban and rural settings. He also serves as President of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. His interests include complex colorectal cancer surgery, endoscopic and minimally invasive innovation, and mentoring future surgical leaders.
