Jeannette Marie Capella, MD FACS

Jeannette Capella, MD, MEd, FACS, is Associate Medical Director for Trauma Services at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She is the Chair of the Disaster and DMEP Committees for the ACS-COT and a member of the Senior Educator Advisory Board for ATLS. She has produced numerous publications in both disaster and education. She has also deployed with federal disaster response teams within NDMS to many disasters, including the Haiti earthquake, several US hurricanes, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
