Carilion Clinic Surgery, New River Valley, is a 5-surgeon group based in Christiansburg, VA and is a referral center for Montgomery, Giles, Pulaski, and Wythe counties. The group offers the entire spectrum of general surgery services, including advanced laparoscopic surgery for hernia repairs, colon surgery, gallbladder disease, bariatric surgery as well as vascular surgery. Dr. Chuck Harris is a member of this group and has special interest in breast cancer and colon cancer, as well as the usual spectum of general surgical problems, including laparoscopic and open hernia repair, lap cholecystectomy, thyroid surgery,and melanoma surgery. Palliative surgical procedures to facilitate hospice and cancer care are also offered, such as long-term venous access placement, and feeding tube (PEG, open gastrostomy, and jejunal)placement.
