I am the Michael M. Eisenberg Professor of Surgery. My clinical and research focus has centered on the treatment of breast cancer, malignant melanoma, and other cutaneous malignancies. I have focused on improving clinical outcomes and quality of life of our cancer patients. I also focus on translational research or taking findings from the laboratory into the clinical sphere. I have served as the chair of the Section of Surgical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic and serve as the Head of the Breast Cancer Interest group which leverages the knowledge between Mayo Clinic, Arizona State University, and TGEN to improve the care of our breast cancer patients. I am also an active participant in several national organizations and involved in several institutional and national clinical trials.
