Dr. Magesh Sundaram received his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1990. He completed his General Surgery residency training at Christiana Care in Delaware and then completed a Complex Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is the recipient of several educational and career achievement awards. Dr. Sundaram has served in several leadership roles in surgical oncology and cancer centers within academic and community healthcare systems. Dr. Sundaram has worked with the Commission on Cancer for a number of years to advance the national delivery of high quality cancer care at cancer programs across the country. Dr. Sundaram has served on several committees for the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Society for Surgery for Alimentary Tract, and other professional societies. His clinical expertise is in treating gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, and hepatobiliary, skin/soft tissue, endocrine and breast malignancies.
