Biography

Baystate Pediatric Surgery has grown considerably performing over 2,200 operations per year. We provide comprehensive Pediatric General and Urologic Surgical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Services provided include urologic surgery, oncology surgery, state of the art newborn surgery, minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures), hernia surgery, trauma surgery, abdominal surgery, endoscopic surgery,thoracic surgery, head and neck surgery. The practice is an academic practice of the University of Massachusetts-Baystate. Baystate Children's Hospital has a 55 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 10 Bed PICU, a 35 bed Infant and Children's Unit and a 10 bed Adolescent and Young Adult Unit. The surgeons all have a faculty appointment at University of Massachusetts-Baystate. For many years the practice has had a Chest Wall Clinic at Shriner's Hospital in Springfield in which children with various chest wall abnormalities are evaluated and treated with both non-operative and surgical reconstructive procedures.
