Biography

My practice is primarily focused on thoracic surgical oncology (the management of tumors of the chest). I have extensive experience in the surgical and multimodality care of lung cancer, mesothelioma, esophageal cancer, mediastinal tumors (e.g. thymomas and germ cell tumors), and tumors of the chest wall. Minimally invasive surgery (e.g. VATS procedures including lobectomy)is an important part of my practice. I am also highly experienced in the management of diseases of the airway including techniques such as laser bronchoscopy, stent placement and tracheal resection. I have extensive experience in single and multi-institutional clinical and translational trials in many tumor types but notably in lung cancer and mesothelioma.
