Biography

David W. Dietz, MD, MHCDS is a board-certified colorectal surgeon, surgical educator, clinical researcher, and national leader in the treatment of patients with cancer of the rectum as well as those with problems involving complex reoperative abdominal and pelvic surgery. Dr Dietz is Vice Chair for Value and Clinical Transformation in the Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City and Professor of Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Delivery Science (MHCDS) from Dartmouth and focuses his administrative efforts on improving the value of surgical care. Dr. Dietz was a founder of the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer and currently serves as Chair of the NAPRC Executive Committee.
