With deep regret, the American College of Surgeons is postponing its 2020 ACS Quality and Safety Conference VIRTUAL (originally scheduled July 24-27).
Due to robust interest in the conference, ACS has received nearly three times the number of registrations than anticipated. While gratified by this level of interest, the College is concerned that the virtual platform on which they were to host the event won’t be able to support such a large number of attendees. ACS is unable to shift to a new platform quickly enough to host all attendees in the high-quality, state-of-the-art environment they deserve. Rather than proceed with an event that is unlikely to meet these high standards, ACS has chosen to postpone the conference to a later date.
The College offers its deepest thanks to the hundreds of moderators, speakers and abstract presenters who are scheduled to participate in this event and we regret any disruptions caused by postponing the conference to a later date.
ACS is diligently working to bring the highly compelling and important content that they’ve assembled, and will announce new dates for this virtual conference soon.
