IRCAD, Strasbourg, France

In October 2023, IRCAD will inaugurate its 5th institute, IRCAD Africa, in Kigali, Rwanda. One of the objectives of this new mirror center is to enhance research efficiency, particularly in exploring the application of artificial intelligence technology for improved prevention and more efficient treatment methods. Another objective is to provide training opportunities to a wide range of surgeons, enabling the rapid dissemination of new minimally invasive surgical techniques to a larger number of patients.

Furthermore, IRCAD has plans to inaugurate another mirror institute in Wuxi, China, in 2024, followed by another in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, in 2025.
