Postgraduate and Meet-the-Expert Sessions Provide Impactful, Practice-Based Learning

October 22, 2023

This year’s Postgraduate (PG) Courses and Meet-the-Expert Sessions offer a wide spectrum of curated educational opportunities for surgeon leaders and learners at every career stage and for the entire surgical team.

If you haven’t already registered for the PG Courses and Meet-the-Expert sessions (an extra fee is required for each), you can do so online or onsite at the registration desk. Participation is limited and seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Postgraduate Didactic and Surgical Skills Courses

The PG Didactic and Surgical Skills Courses will focus on the acquisition of knowledge and skills through best practices in education and training methods. Special certificates will be offered for successful completion of these courses in order to support the professional activities of attendees.

All PG Didactic and Surgical Skills Courses offer programming on the topics that matter most to you, including:

  • DC07: Workshop on Communication in High Stakes Surgery and Serious Illness
  • DC12: Anticoagulation Reversal Following Head Trauma
  • DC15: Surgical Education: Principles and Practice (SEPAP)
  • SC03: Thyroid, Parathyroid, and Neck Ultrasound
  • SC06: Ultrasound-Guided Percutaneous Ablation Techniques for the Thyroid
  • SC10: New Frontiers in Fluorescent Image-Guided Surgery

In an effort to promote learning and retention of course content, most of the PG Courses will include virtual study materials provided to registrants prior to the onsite course.

A few PG Courses will use a three-part model that includes an additional follow-up video conference session with live interaction among faculty and learners several weeks after Clinical Congress. See a full list of Didactic and Surgical Skills Courses.

Meet the Experts

In addition to the PG Courses, be sure to participate in the Meet-the-Expert sessions, which provide a more informal learning experience with opportunities for attendees to interact with forward-thinking surgical leaders, educators, and innovators.

Meet-the-Expert sessions include:

  • ME108: Genetic Testing in Thyroid Cancer
  • ME308: How to Achieve New Practice Acquisition

See a full list of Meet-the-Expert sessions.

Check the Clinical Congress app or online platform for specific times and locations for these sessions, as well as CME Credit information for eligible sessions.
