We invite you and your entire surgical team to join us in Boston, October 22–25, for Clinical Congress 2023. If you haven’t already registered, please register today.

Boston, Massachusetts, is one of the oldest municipalities in the United States, known as a hub of history, art, culture, and innovation. It is home to renowned medical and educational institutions, which help support the Commonwealth’s reputation as an international center of learning and intellectualism. Additionally, Boston’s updated Convention Center, new hotels, and restaurants make it the perfect place to host our premier surgical meeting.

Congress will be held this year from Sunday through Wednesday. We recognize the significant constraints on your time, so we’ve been able to create a new footprint that brings you all of the high-quality, innovative content that you’ve come to expect over 4 days, rather than 4.5 days. We want to ensure that every hour you spend at an ACS meeting adds value and that we are efficient and strategic with your time.

Clinical Congress annually brings together world-renowned experts in the clinical practice of surgery, as well as leaders in surgical education, research, and technology. In addition to a broad range of outstanding hands-on and didactic learning opportunities and timely discourse on relevant surgical topics, you’ll also have unparalleled access to our peers.

There is a strength that comes with engaging with colleagues who have a shared experience, and Clinical Congress offers that opportunity.

This year’s theme is “Surgeons United,” reflecting the various pathways that we have traveled during our careers and the reaffirmation of our shared values. Our journeys are united by our common ideals that include quality, integrity, and professionalism, as well as the ACS motto “To Heal All with Skill and Trust.”

Please take time to peruse the Interactive Program Planner, where you will see a vast array of essential educational content to meet the needs of all surgeons in all career stages, in all practice settings, and in all surgical specialties. We are especially excited about many of this year’s highlights, Named Lectures, and our capstone event—Taste of the City—which will be held Wednesday night and is free for all registrants and their family members.

An abundance of Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Self-Assessment Credit will be available. Additionally, many sessions will address specific regulatory mandates for state licensure and ACS Accreditation and Verification Programs.

On behalf of the American College of Surgeons, we look forward to seeing you in Boston!

E. Christopher Ellison, MD, FACS President; Timothy J. Eberlein, MD, FACS, Chair, Board of Regents; and Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS, Executive Director & CEO
