National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers

NAPBC Gap Analysis Tool Is Now Available

December 19, 2024

The NAPBC has released a new resource, NAPBC Optimal Resources for Breast Care Gap Analysis Tool, to assist breast programs with assessing their readiness to apply for NAPBC accreditation for the first time.

The Gap Analysis Tool contains the following information for each accreditation standard in Optimal Resources for Breast Care (2024 Standards):

  • Standard requirements
  • Documentation requirements
  • Fields for tracking the program’s compliance status and any necessary action plans
  • Available resources to assist in achieving compliance
  • Required templates for documenting compliance

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
