CoC Honors Delaware State Chair Dr. Diana Dickson-Witmer

The CoC has named Delaware CoC State Chair Diana Dickson-Witmer, MD, FACS, the recipient of the 2024 State Chair Outstanding Performance Award. Dr. Dickson-Witmer received the award for exhibiting outstanding leadership and innovation, as well as making significant contributions to the improvement of cancer care in her state.

State Chairs are responsible for supporting CoC-accredited cancer programs in their states, communicating with the Cancer Liaison Physicians serving in those programs, and collaborating with partners such as their ACS Chapter, American Cancer Society, and state Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition.

New Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Marketing Tools Available

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
