New Resources for Pediatric Cancer Accreditation

October 19, 2023

Two new resources have been developed to assist sites in seeking accreditation as a Pediatric Cancer Program (PCP) or a Pediatric Specialty Accreditation (CoC-PS).

  • The Guidelines for Seeking Accreditation for Pediatric Services provides a high-level view of the pediatric specialty accreditation offerings and will assist in evaluating which is the appropriate option before seeking accreditation.

  • Frequently Asked Questions for Pediatric Cancer Programs provides more detail on the process for pursuing accreditation and meeting the standards.

The documents are now available in the Resources section of the Quality Portal (QPort).

It is anticipated the option to apply as a CoC-PS will be available in late 2023 or early 2024. Sites applying for the Pediatric Cancer Program standalone category may apply at any time.

If you are interested in pursuing the new CoC-PS program, complete this interest survey. Information provided in this survey will assist in future resource development. Respondents will also receive a dedicated email when the application for CoC-PS is available.

Questions on either the CoC-PS or PCP accreditation offerings may be submitted to CoC@facs.org.
