Webinar Explores Care for the LGBTQIA+ Breast Cancer Community

August 31, 2023

Living Beyond Breast Cancer will host a two-part webinar series for healthcare providers regarding care for LGBTQIA+ breast cancer patients. Chandler S. Cortina MD, MS, FSSO, FACS, Julian A. Sanchez MD, FACS, Cassandra Falby MS, LMFT, and patient advocate Victoria Seamon will discuss how healthcare providers can dismantle barriers, foster inclusivity, nurture mental health, and provide compassionate, patient-centered, gender-affirming care.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
