A recap of the 2024 ACS Cancer Conference is featured on the House of Surgery podcast. ACS Cancer Programs Medical Director Ronald J. Weigel, MD, PhD, MBA, FACS, talks with Commission on Cancer (CoC) Quality Assurance and Data Committee Chair Daniel Boffa, MD, FACS; CoC Vice-Chair Laurie J. Kirstein, MD, FACS; and CoC Chair Timothy W. Mullett, MD, MBA, FACS, about the recent conference in Austin, Texas.

In addition to the key insights and lessons learned from the conference, they also discuss new opportunities for clinical practice and what to expect this year and beyond from ACS Cancer Programs.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
