Dr. Rocha Named Chair of CSSP Standards Development Committee

Flavio Rocha, MD, FACS, has been named the chair of the CSSP Standards Development Committee. Dr. Rocha is a professor of surgery and the Hugh and Georgeina Hedinger Chair in Surgical Oncology at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. Dr. Rocha was an active member of the CRP Education Committee and CRP Cancer Care Standards Development Committee and co-led the development of the hepatobiliary section for Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery, Vol 3.  

Toan (Tony) Nguyen, MD, FACS, will continue to serve as the vice-chair for the CSSP Standards Development Committee. The CSSP acknowledges and appreciates his continuous engagement in the committee and his past contributions to the CRP Cancer Care Standards Development Committee.

The CSSP also expresses gratitude to Christina Roland, MD, FACS, for her leadership on the CRP Cancer Care Standards Development Committee and CSSP Standards Development Committee, especially her dedication to the development of the Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery manuals.
