The CoC hosted its spring meeting in Phoenix on March 15 following the ACS Cancer Conference, with members representing the ACS Fellowship and CoC Member Organizations in attendance.

CoC Chair Laurie J. Kirstein, MD, FACS, opened the meeting with a discussion of CoC programmatic updates, including the rural participation option, tobacco cessation standard, quality measures, and the AESOP operative standards grant. Following updates from the CoC committees, members participated in breakout groups to discuss strategies for maximizing the CoC brand, expanding the value of the CoC, and utilizing patient reported outcomes.
