Updates to NAPBC Standard 8.2

January 23, 2025

As communicated in a recent email notification, the NAPBC has retired Standard 8.2: Continuing Education. NAPBC programs are no longer required to meet compliance with any aspect of this standard. This change is effective immediately, as of January 1, 2025. The 2024 NAPBC Standards and supporting resources will be updated to reflect this change in the coming weeks.

2025 Site Visits: NAPBC programs with a site visit scheduled in calendar year 2025 will not be rated for compliance with Standard 8.2: Continuing Education. The NAPBC Pre-Review Questionnaire is being updated to remove Standard 8.2 and the required upload fields. No action is required on behalf of your program.

Existing Non-Compliant Ratings: NAPBC programs are no longer required to provide resolution materials for an existing noncompliant rating for Standard 8.2: Continuing Education (2024 Standards) or Standard 5.1: Breast Care Team Continuing Education (2018 Standards). The noncompliant rating will be automatically resolved when all additional standards deficiencies are resolved. If this is the only standards deficiency, email napbc@facs.org with your NAPBC Company ID for next steps.

For more information on the NAPBC standards, Optimal Resources for Breast Care (2024 Standards), please visit on the NAPBC website. Questions regarding the NAPBC accreditation standards should be submitted through the CAnswer Forum.
