Surgeons Discuss Suicide Awareness, Prevention, and Loss

September 26, 2023

As National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month comes to a close, revisit the candid conversation about suicide awareness, prevention, and loss featuring Drs. Mary Brandt and Melissa Hoffman and pastor Molly Booker. Their discussion centered on four questions:

  • What leads someone to contemplate suicide?
  • Why do we feel the way we do after experiencing loss by suicide and what can we do about it?
  • What do I do if I feel suicidal or if someone around me is experiencing suicidal ideation?
  • What can organizations do to stop this epidemic?
