Volunteer to Help Medical Students with Mock Interviews

The ACS is seeking surgeon volunteers to support select components of this year’s 3-day Medical Student Program at Clinical Congress 2026 in Washington, DC, and there is a specific need for surgeons to help lead mock interviews:

Mock Interview Practice Sessions with Surgeons
Monday, September 28 | 3:00–5:00 pm

Faculty will pose a typical residency interview question to one student, allow the student to respond as they would in an actual interview, and then spend a few minutes providing feedback to the group. 

Other volunteer opportunities include serving as a Quick-Shot Presentation Judge and coaching students on writing personal statements.

If you will be attending the meeting and are interested in helping, you are invited to participate in any of these events based on your interest and availability. No advance preparation is required.
