October is Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Awareness Month. IPV can happen to anyone and can come in various forms.
This year, the ACS Committee on Intimate Partner Violence, along with other surgical associations—Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Urogynecologic Society—will continue to inform surgeons of this issue and how even surgeons can experience IPV.
With October ending, the ACS is sharing a final set of videos on IPV-related issues:
Dr. Sharon Stein, a member of the Committee on Intimate Partner Violence goes through what should be considered when creating a safety plan for the workplace.
Dr. Celeste Hollands, member of the Committee on Intimate Partner Violence, concludes IPV Awareness Month by highlighting key facts and resources.
