You are invited to participate in a virtual Fireside Chat at 7:00 pm CT on April 16 with Kyla P. Terhune, MD, MBA, FACS, ACS Senior Vice President, Education, where she will discuss her career as a general surgeon, her passion for surgical education, and her plans to advance surgical excellence at the ACS. 

Dr. Terhune took the helm of the Division of Education in November 2025. Prior to this position, she served as associate dean of graduate medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and senior vice president for educational affairs and Designated Institutional Official at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. 

The host for the Fireside Chat is Mohsen M. Shabahang, MD, PhD, FACS, who chairs the Subcommittee of Novel Teaching and Assessment Methods and Educational Resources for the ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators.
