Surgeon Discusses Ongoing Inclusivity Challenges for LGBTQ+ Community

Although the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives continues to grow throughout medicine, LGBTQ+ surgeons often struggle with inclusivity among peers at their institutions. To address this issue, the Association of Out Surgeons & Allies (AOSA), discussed in a March Bulletin article, was initiated to promote a career without stigma or judgment.
