Register for Surgical Palliative Care Symposium in April

The Surgical Palliative Care Symposium, 7:00–8:30 pm CT, on Thursday, April 23, is a virtual event that brings together healthcare professionals across disciplines for an engaging educational experience focused on integrating palliative principles into clinical practice.

The program features five quick-shot presentations selected from an open call for abstracts, each delivering insights on key topics in surgical palliative care.

After each presentation, participants will engage in Q&A, providing the opportunity to ask the presenters questions and share perspectives across disciplines. 

The goals of the event for attendees to learn how to:

  • Enhance Patient-Centered Surgical Care. Incorporate the principles and techniques of palliative care into clinical practice to better support individuals and families facing serious illness.
  • Improve Outcomes and Experience. Advance the integration of palliative care to support care aligned with patient goals and improve patient and family experiences.
  • Advance Education, Research, and Advocacy. Engage with colleagues dedicated to strengthening surgical palliative care through education, research, and advocacy to improve the quality of surgical care.
