January 20, 2026

As with all Clinical Congresses, ACS Clinical Congress 2026, September 26–29 in Washington, DC, will be a global event open to and enhanced by the attendance of surgeons from around the world.

For international surgeons who anticipate needing a visa to travel, an official invitation letter can be provided to support your application. Based on current global visa wait times and depending on your country of residence, visa appointments may take 6–9 months or longer. Planning ahead and applying as early as possible can help avoid delays and keep your options open.

Request Visa Letter

Please note that most consulates and embassies, which fall under the US State Department, often do not consider attendance at a medical conference as a valid reason for requesting an expedited visa interview. For this reason, the ACS is unable to contact embassies or consulates on your behalf. You are strongly encouraged to begin your visa application process as soon as possible.

If you are unable to secure a visa or travel to the meeting, join us virtually. Virtual registration will be available when Clinical Congress registration opens this spring.
