Long before Ashley L. Titan, MD, embarked on her medical career and surgical residency, she shared a passion for athletics with her family, but a tear in her triangular fibrocartilage complex dealt a blow to her athletic pursuits. The injury served as an impetus to guide her interest in surgical research on tendon-on-bone injuries—research made possible through the ACS Foundation and Resident Research Scholarship.
