Decision-Aid Tool Can Reduce Preoperative Tests, Save Substantial Costs

The cost of medical education has increased substantially in recent decades, and surgeon compensation is not keeping up. Listen to Drs. Angela Sickels and J. Bart Rose discuss their article in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, which found that while general surgeon compensation has grown in the last 40 years, it pales in comparison to the more than 800% increased median medical student debt.
