General Surgeons Can Help Prevent Ovarian Cancer

Because growing evidence is emerging that high-grade ovarian cancer often originates in the fallopian tubes, in recent years, gynecologists have started performing opportunistic salpingectomy during other procedures—and general surgeons can play a role in this area, as well.
