Register for Online ACS Current Trends in General Surgery Course

The ACS offers an online course, ACS Current Trends in General Surgery, which provides new knowledge or reinforces existing concepts for use in surgical practice and assists in preparation for examinations. 

This course is designed to be a pragmatic review covering essential content areas in general surgery. The course content is divided into five modules:

  • GI Oncology Module
  • Alimentary Module
  • Breast, Skin, Soft Tissue, and Endocrine Module
  • Trauma, Critical Care, and Vascular Module
  • Perioperative Care Module

Learners can purchase the full course (all five modules listed above) or select individual modules.

Learning objectives for ACS Current Trends in General Surgery include:

  • Extract new information on key topics in General Surgery such as the Alimentary Tract, Endocrine and Soft Tissue, Oncology, Perioperative Care, Skin and Breast, Surgical Critical Care, Trauma, Specialty Care, and Vascular Surgery.
  • Articulate and use newly acquired knowledge directly in clinical settings to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Recognize specific areas for enhancing medical expertise and patient care practices, while also evolving personal improvement strategies.
