Surgeon and healthcare workers involved in palliative care are encouraged to register for the eighth annual ACS Surgical Palliative Care Symposium, taking place this Thursday, May 2, 7:00–8:30 pm CT. As in past years, this free, virtual Symposium will offer "quick shot" style presentations with respondents, a lively exchange of ideas among the many attendees, and plentiful online networking opportunities.

Topics for discussion will include patient perceptions of palliative care in the perioperative setting, surgeon perspectives on the role of non-curative surgery for patients with metastatic cancer, the language of palliative surgery, and more.

Visit the Surgical Palliative Care web page for more information on the event and to register. Contact Cassie Buchignani at cbuchignani@facs.org or 312-202-5289 for more information.
