Registration is now open for the Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration (LCBDE) Course, a hybrid course with recorded didactic lectures and an in-person hands-on skills lab for surgeons who want an overview of pre- and intraoperative decision-making for patients with choledocholithiasis, as well as performing and accurately interpreting intraoperative cholangiography.

The in-person skills lab will take place Friday, June 6, 1:00–5:15 pm at the Boston Scientific Surgical Skills Training Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The course chair is Ezra Teitelbaum, MD, FACS.

Course participants will:

  • Perform and interpret an intraoperative cholangiogram to diagnose choledocholithiasis and choose the optimal treatment approach
  • Perform a transcystic laparoscopic common bile duct exploration for treatment of choledocholithiasis using a flexible choledochoscope
  • Perform adjuncts to LCBDE, including balloon sphincteroplasty and lithotripsy
  • Review how to safely and effectively implement a hospital-wide LCBDE program

Registration is $1,575 for ACS members and $1,890 for non-members, with an opportunity to claim up to 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsSpace is limited, so register today.
