Advocacy Workgroup

The Advocacy Workgroup represents the needs of young physicians within the legislative agenda of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

• Represent the YFA as liaisons to appropriate College, PAC, and Board of Governor committees
• Share a leadership role with the other workgroups in the curriculum development, marketing, and implementation of the annual ACS Leadership Conference for Young Surgeons in Washington, DC
• Market and support the Joint Surgical Advocacy Conference annually in Washington, DC
• Represent the YFA and ACS at the American Medical Association's Young Physicians' Section annual and interim meetings
