Login Issues

How do I log into the MyACS app?

On the login screen, click the “Keep me signed in” box. If you force-close the app, you will need to re-enter your login credentials.

I don’t remember my Username or Password. What should I do?

Please contact ms@facs.org for assistance, and someone will reach out to you

Biometrics—FaceID/Thumbprint

How do I set up biometric login (face/thumbprint) for the MyACS app?

The first time you log into the app, you will be prompted by your device to activate biometric login. The next time you go to log in, please click the “Log in with Face ID” button on the first screen of the app to log in with biometrics if you are not automatically logged in.

I was not prompted to set up biometric login the first time I logged into the app. Why?

Your device might have biometrics turned off. Please go to your device settings and confirm it is turned on. This setting will differ based on your operating system and device. Once you have confirmed that biometrics are turned on, log in to the MyACS app and go to Settings. You can activate biometric login with a switch on the Settings page.

I was prompted to set up biometric login, but I canceled. How can I set it up again?

Log into the MyACS app with your username/password, go to the Membership page, and click on the cog icon in the upper-right corner to access your Settings. You can activate biometric login with a switch on the Settings page.

I have tried turning on biometric login in the app’s settings, but nothing is happening. What should I do?

If nothing is happening, it is likely that your device does not have biometrics turned on. If you have confirmed it is turned on and the toggle in Settings is not doing anything, please confirm the app is fully up to date. If needed, uninstalling and reinstalling the app will reset the biometrics prompt to show up the first time you log in.

Links and Content

I clicked a link inside the app and was asked to log in again. Why do I need to log in a second time?

The app attempts to keep you logged in across all links in the app without requiring you to log in multiple times, but occasionally, your logged-in session for links might expire. Please log in when prompted, which should then keep you logged in across all links again.

I keep being prompted to log in when clicking on links every time I log into the app. How can I avoid this?

This might happen when using biometric login occasionally if you swiped out of or force-closed the app on some devices. Please log out of the app and log in using your Username and Password manually once. This should allow you to remain logged in across all links again.

App Settings & Personalization

Where can I find app settings?

On the bottom ribbon, click on Membership (far right). Once in Membership, look for the cog icon in the upper-right corner to open Settings.

I am not receiving push notifications. How do I turn those on?

Go to the Membership section, and click on the Settings (cog) icon in the upper-right corner. On the Settings page, you can toggle push notifications on and off.

How do I personalize my app home screen?

While on the app home screen, below the tiles, click on Edit. In the Edit Quick Links screen, you can remove tiles by clicking on the X and add tiles by click on the + sign. There is a limit of 9 tiles for your quick links.

In the For You section, I can see news recommended for me. How is this feed personalized for me? Can I change the types of news that shows for me?

The Recommended for You section is curated based on your specialty, subspecialty (if applicable), your member type, and your content interests. To update your content interests, go to the Membership tab and click on the My Profile card. Scroll to the bottom of your profile and you will see Content Interests. Select anything that interests you!

How do I add or update my photo?

If you have a photo uploaded to your Surgeon’s Dashboard (your profile), it will be pulled into the app. If you don’t have a photo, we encourage you to upload one. It will sync with your profile and display in our Find a Surgeon search. To add a new photo, click on Membership, then in the upper right, click on Edit where either your current photo is displaying or your initials. From there, you can take a photo or select one from your device’s library.
