Global health is truly a team effort, and the impact of our collective work is becoming clear. Through our partnerships in Lusaka, Zambia, and Hawassa, Ethiopia, we are strengthening surgical education, expanding clinical engagement, and building the capacity of our colleagues and partner institutions.
As this work grows, however, an important need has become apparent: Operating rooms require essential equipment to safely and effectively care for patients and support the training of the next generation of surgeons.
Our current fundraising initiative focuses on purchasing critical operating room equipment for the Hawassa and Lusaka Surgical Training Collaboratives. This is more than an investment in equipment—it is an investment in surgical capacity, education, patient safety, and the long-term sustainability of our partnerships.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to help address these urgent equipment needs at both locations. Every contribution, regardless of size, will bring us closer to this goal and have a tangible impact on the ability of our colleagues in Hawassa and Lusaka to provide high-quality surgical care and training.
As part of your year-end giving, we ask you to consider supporting the Hawassa and Lusaka Surgical Training Collaboratives. Your contribution will help provide urgently needed equipment at both institutions while strengthening the foundation for sustainable surgical care and education for years to come.
Thank you for being an important part of these partnerships and for helping us continue to strengthen surgical care and education in Hawassa and Lusaka.
