SESAP® 19 and SESAP 19 Advanced are offered in several packages, with options suitable for a variety of educational preferences and surgical practices. All packages are web-based and optimized for use on mobile devices with the same content and features as on the desktop web version.
First, determine whether you would like to purchase both SESAP 19 and SESAP 19 Advanced, SESAP 19 only, or a selection of modules.
Bundled packages offer the best savings. All nine modules of SESAP 19 and all six modules of SESAP 19 Advanced are available together for a 50% savings. All SESAP 19 modules are packaged for a 43% savings, with the option to add SESAP 19 Advanced modules at individual pricing.
If you prefer to choose your own modules, consider a SESAP Select package, which includes a minimum of five modules—including Perioperative Care and Legal, Ethics, Quality, and Safety—plus a minimum of three other SESAP 19 or SESAP 19 Advanced modules. For SESAP 19 Advanced modules, the related SESAP 19 module(s) must be purchased. For example, for SESAP 19 Advanced Abdomen and Alimentary Tract, both the SESAP 19 Abdomen and SESAP 19 Alimentary Tract modules must be selected. You do not need to select a CME or NonCME version, because the ordering system will display the appropriate version for you. Surgeons who are eligible for CME credit will be able to complete the CME requirements to earn CME credit. Surgeons who are not interested in earning CME credit will be able to complete the modules without taking the CME tests.
SESAP 19 provides 160 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, while SESAP 19 Advanced offers an additional 104 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, all of which can be used for self-assessment purposes.
All CME credit for SESAP 19 and SESAP 19 Advanced must be claimed by October 1, 2028. Online access to SESAP 19 and SESAP 19 Advanced will be discontinued on November 10, 2028, when the edition will be retired.
Surgery residents are unable to earn CME credit but will receive a special version that tracks progress, awards scores, and generates Progress Reports to share with program directors. Visit the SESAP and Residents page for more details and instructions on group orders.
