SESAP 19

SESAP® 19 offers 640 newly constructed, case-based, multiple-choice questions and evidence-based explanations of all answer options. Select from nine modules based on personal preferences and learning goals, including abdomen; alimentary tract; breast; emergency general surgery; endocrine; legal, ethics, quality, and safety; perioperative care; surgical critical care; and trauma. Receive links to questions each week, build custom quizzes, create flashcards, and explore innovative features for personalized and self-directed learning. Released in 2025, this edition continues the tradition of offering unsurpassed quality educational content for self-study and review, as developed and peer-reviewed by practicing surgeon authors from across the United States. SESAP 19 Advanced

SESAP 19 Advanced modules build on SESAP 19 content and specifically focus on advanced clinical problems involving specialized and nuanced content within complex and emerging topics. Released in 2025, the SESAP 19 Advanced modules include 329 case-based questions across six modules including abdomen and alimentary tract; breast; endocrine; melanoma, skin, sarcoma; surgical critical care; and trauma and emergency general surgery. The format and features are similar to SESAP 19, with the addition of “Controversial Items” at the end of each module. “Controversial Items” present complex cases where different approaches may be valid and discuss the current evidence for each approach.
